Benidorm is a seaside resort on the eastern coast of Spain, part of the Valencia region’s famed Costa Blanca. A tiny fishing village till the 1960s, it’s now a popular Mediterranean holiday destination known for its boisterous nightlife. It has 2 wide beaches, Playa Levante and Playa Poniente. Both are backed by palm–lined promenades, bars, and rows of skyscrapers.
Benidorm is less than a 2 hour drive away. It has 4 theme parks, all well worth a visit but there is also a Terra Natura water park and zoo in Murcia, less than an hour’s drive away. The 2 that I would recommend visiting in Benidorm are below..
A wonderful water park, suitable for all ages. I can easily spend a day here. It is twinned with the marine animal park Mundomar, which is immediately next door to Aqualandia, and shares the same free car park. Water is sourced directly from the sea.
Terra Mítica is a theme park located in Partida del Moralet, s/n, 03502 Benidorm, Alicante . The park is divided into 5 themed zones: Egypt, Greece, Rome, Iberia, and the Islands. It has ancient culture-themed areas in the amusement park with white-knuckle & family rides, plus shows.
